Everyone has different needs when it comes to funeral planning, so we make sure the plans we offer are as flexible as possible. As an independently owned funeral director, we’ll take the time to understand your wishes and tailor a plan to suit you.
Spread the cost or make a one-off payment. We offer a number of ways to pay for your funeral plan – simply choose the one that’s right for you.
You can make a one-off, single payment for immediate cover.
If you would prefer to spread the cost, you can pay over 12 monthly payments by Direct Debit at no extra charge. You will be covered once all payments are made.
For a lower monthly payment, you can also choose to spread the cost of your plan between two and 15 years (two and 10 years for Independent Basic Plan).
This option includes the added benefit of our Golden Charter Pledge, which ensures that if you die at any time after you have made 12 payments, the benefit of your plan will be provided, with no further sums to be paid.
As well as covering the delivery of your funeral as per the terms and conditions of your plan, your plan price includes a one-off £249 arrangement fee which Golden Charter retains as a contribution towards setting up your funeral plan.
It’s a wonderful way to put your mind at rest while you’re alive and when you’ve gone it’s a lovely way to show your family that you loved and cared about them. Now it’s all sorted I can get on with my life
Golden Charter guarantees the funeral director’s costs and makes contributions to third party arrangements specified in your Funeral Plan. There are no additional hidden extras or additional administration charges for your family to deal with when the time comes. However, be aware that third party costs such as crematorium fees, cemetery fees and minister’s costs can increase beyond the plan and require additional payment at the time of the funeral.
For all payment methods, if you cancel within 30 days we will refund the payment you have made.
If you choose to make payment in full or pay by 12 monthly payments and you cancel after 30 days you will receive a refund of payments made less a cancellation fee of £249.
