A Truly Independent Family Business

Penrose Funerals Ltd is run by myself and my son Nathan. We are committed to the reality that affordability need not come at the cost of professionalism or care. Our dedication to remaining independent means we can continue to offer a flexible, personal service to our clients and to be a gentle, guiding hand through a difficult time. Our small and dedicated team, along with Nathan and myself, will be there for you from start to finish…and beyond.

Jeremy Van der Pant, Managing Director

Caring for our staff

We believe that caring for our clients starts with caring for our staff. We do not believe in zero hour contracts or paying minimum wage. We do set high standards, but we find that because our staff feel involved, listened to and supported it is they who are also constantly pushing to improve the service we offer. We are convinced that this corporate culture of openness and support is what enables us to provide an exceptionally caring and supportive service for bereaved families and friends.

We work hard to offer an exemplary service for a realistic price. Our clients tell us again and again that we achieve this.

Our Promise: We will never upsell our services to you but instead we will provide the funeral you request at the most reasonable price.

Testimonials

Dear Sirs and Amanda,

We wish to thank you for a very dignified service in respect of our late Mother’s funeral (Mrs Joan Mary H***b***k)

Yours faithfully

Ian, Dawn and Stuart - August 2025

Dear Jeremy and all the amazing staff at Penrose,

From myself and the rest of the family I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all that you have done for us at this incredibly difficult time. We will be eternally grateful for the respect and care you showed my dad – Alan Holmes – during his time with you, and for allowing our final precious moments spent with him.

Furthermore, your kindness and compassion made this challenging process much less painful. It is impossible to fully express our gratefulness in words.

Thank you so very, very much!

With love

Natalie and the Holmes family - Sept 2024

Just to say thank you for looking after our Dad. I don’t know how you do your jobs, but I just want to say you do it so professionally and with so much care.

Thank you for everything

Marie Noble and family - February 2023

To Jeremy, Nathan, Jon and Brendon,

A simple thank you sometimes isn’t enough to truly express the gratitude that’s felt for those who are there when we need them. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for carrying out the funeral for my dear Caroline. The kindness and sympathy you showed were far beyond expectation. You were there for me throughout the whole proceeding. Yours is truly a wonderful company.

Thank you

Keith - April 2024
